Certified B Corporations are a new kind of business that use their power to solve social and environmental problems. Borden Communications is proud to have been a Founding Canadian B Corp because I believe that good people, doing good things should stick together to support each other. I hope that the B Corporation Community can be a catalyst for sustainable and ethical businesses to connect and collaborate with each other, bringing about constant positive change. I achieved this amazing certification by exceeding rigorous standards of social and environmental performance. I’m delighted to have earned a high Composite B Score even attaining excellence in many areas. Here’s to doing better, together!

I am dedicated to supporting our local and greater community at large in all I do. I take great pride in participating in a number of philanthropic projects each year, and committing a large portion of my time to pro bono work and in creating and hosting The Wellness Intelligence Collective. The Borden Pledge
With decades in this business (I’m not that old, really), I realize even more, that as I’ve grown in this great big world of ours, with clients around the globe, that the world actually gets smaller and smaller every day.
We all connect and collide with each other in so many different ways and places and I continue to believe that if good people, doing good things stick together that good will result! So, I thank you for being “here” for me and with me. Your enthusiasm and support has kept me busy and you’re the reason that I remain passionate about all that I do, and that I am inspired to do more.
MY C PLEDGE:
Commit: I will continue to commit ourselves to being champions for change and your biggest champion too.
Care: I will continue to care about you and your business as if it were my own, because we’re all in this together.
Communicate: I will continue to communicate candidly (read: no bullshit). I pledge to always tell people what I believe they should hear rather than what they want to hear.
Capacity: I will continue to try and expand our capacity for tolerance and patience, and expand our capacity for new information to be able to give you more.

Coach, Consult, Concierge: I will continue to work to offer the best “Triple C Service” to you. I will continue to ensure that the strategic blend of all of these roles working together for you, increases your efficiencies, revenue, health and happiness. And we all want more of that, right?
Common Sense: I will continue to believe that we all just need to use our own common sense to make our own best choices.
Calm: I will continue to try and be calm, share strategies to be calm, although we like to find time and space to be outraged too. All feelings are for feeling! : )
Create: I will continue to find a way to create … on my own and with you.
Choices: I will continue to applaud your choices, and will continue to offer you choices based on what is right for you. I don’t believe in “shoulding” around here.
Champion: I will continue to try and be your biggest champion. It’s so much fun. Thank you for the opportunity.
Life is about hanging on, letting go, holding back, giving it all, staying put and evolving. Our Colophon
This website, like everything about Borden Communications, is unfiltered, authentic, and true.
I am my own architect and designer for this site, as well as for all materials for my teachings, content, and books. I take great pride in being able to write my own copy (grammar mistakes and all), take my own photos (unprofessional and untouched by whoever I’m with such as my kids) … except for a few that good humans, Elie Landesberg, Gavin Higgins, Elis Halenko, Catherine Farquarson, and Tom Sandler who captured a handful of shots along the way, and create engaging user experiences (in print, online, and in real life). This is what happens when decades of experience of varied expertise are used, along with family, friends, and colleagues who are interested and willing and invested in my work.
Borden Communications is an ever-evolving result of my being curious and excited to learn. I see myself as a curator and steward of other people’s remarkable thoughts and work. I acknowledge my privilege to stand on the shoulders of those who dive deep in their expertise. In turn, I give and share what I am so grateful to receive from others (directly and indirectly). I absorb, digest, distill, curate, and deliver ideas and practices in hope that it serves you well.
I am also grateful for the love from community (in real life and virtually) … it inspires and enables me to take on all I do. I hope to make this “realness” spread … I want to change the world through my hearts, my work … in building better businesses and helping everyone I can discover their Wellness Intelligence.
