I created and coined the term Wellness Intelligence because I am committed to helping you connect the dots in wellness and find what really works for you. Wellness Intelligence gives you the ability to make better decisions and take better action in conscious pursuit of better outcomes. It is about you being able to answer the question, “what should I do?” with ease, flow, and a sense of purpose in any situation. Wellness Intelligence creates the conditions for you to feel better in all eight dimensions of wellness … physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, intellectual, social, environmental, and financial. What is Empathy Economics?
Empathy Economics is my term that encourages everyone to practice being connected to everything they purchase. I not only share products and services that are Empathy Economics approved, but my clients embody this as well. It’s a simple concept … if (and when) you buy better and healthier, then the makers will make things that are better and healthier. What is Kind food?
I am asked often about what I eat or what you should eat (we don’t “should” around here but I do like to create the conditions for you to eat well!). How do I quiet my mind when I’m meditating?

When I drink water I have to pee, and I don’t have time for that, what’s the solution?

Do you agree with the saying, “No pain, no gain”?
Believe it or not, yes … but in an unconventional way. Change requires discomfort and growth, healing, and learning can be challenging … but it’s worth it. As for pain when it comes to movement it is not the benchmark of effort or a good workout. As for pain when it comes to sitting at a desk for too long, try my solutions. A long work day does not have to equal pain.
How on earth did you ever get started in all of this?
Synchronicity and serendipity?! Where can we even define the “start”?! It’s a journey. Always learning … and unlearning. Not unknowing. Deep diving. Curiosity. Working with incredibly intelligent and passionate clients, who are also kind teachers and mentors. Open hearted and minded conversations. Oh and failures … plenty of those too. There are lessons in everything and we’re pleased to share them too.
Why do you make up so many new terms?
We want to express ourselves and pique your curiosity! With experience in marketing we want to manipulate you into paying attention (with transparency :). Megan and I always kid that all of the words and claims in wellness are already “taken”, so our solution is to make up our own words … find our most frequently used ones in our Lexicon.
What is the significance of your logo?
Our “flower” represents the interconnectivity of all, and the beauty of growth and possibility. There are eight “petals” symbolizing our eight dimensions of wellness, and how all we choose to do affects everything else. The linked circles represent how we are better together…. That we are authentic and natural… That we respect nature. Visualize this symbolism: making connections (for ourselves and with others), resilience, awe, wonder, flow, progress, will, passage, potential, and infinite possibility.
Why do you have eight Dimensions of Wellness?
Trust me, I struggled to label and categorize the dimensions! I am not big into labels. I am confident in these eight dimensions to be all-encompassing and full-spectrum. When you explore them, you will see, feel, and trust that everything is connected. Explore the eight dimensions here.
How long have you had a mascot?
The little green mosquito became my official mascot as soon as I figured out how to make it fly across the screen every time someone landed on my website homepage (now no longer animated on our website but always in my ear … and hopefully yours too!). My original interview series with clients and colleagues was called “interviews with mosquitos” because I highlighted how we are all making a difference in all we do. More on our mosquito here.
