Thanks to Aurea Dempsey and tuja wellness for opening up my fridge to all. Click here to see the feature and the inside of my fridge.
I never would have expected to hear from so many people. Highlight messages include:
“Why do you keep your hemp seeds in the fridge?”
I keep all open seeds and nuts in the fridge – they are raw, and that just makes sense to me. I’m not sure if it’s necessary or not, it’s just what we do!
“Who staged your fridge?”
My fridge was not staged, and this was taken with my blackberry (yes, I still have a blackberry). However, I would never photograph my fridge on a Wednesday, which during the school year, falls between my weekend market shop and my Mama Earth delivery on Thursday, so it’s usually quite empty. But on a typical day, this is how my fridge looks. We eat all of our meals from this fridge, and we are big food lovers, with many different tastes and “required” staples!
“Why do you have two containers of probiotics?”
I’m a big believer in never running out, and always having a backup. For any of my friends, clients and family that spend time here, they understand that I can always feed a small village in short order! I never mentioned that I actually have a second fridge – where else would I store my 15+ pounds of organic dates?
“Is that an entire shelf of mustard?”
Yes, my son Ryan loves condiments, especially mustards!
“How many glass containers do you have???”
A lot, and often they are all in use. Plastic sucks, and I love to wash and prep everything so I can whip together meals quickly, and so the kids can help themselves to fast food!
I would love to redo this “reveal” in the summer when it’s full of fresh food from the market and my garden – then have you over to share a meal, or snack with me.
