Are you using “2020” as a swear word yet?
“What a load of 2020!”
“What the 2020?”
“Abso-2020-lutely”
With one month left this year, we can all most likely agree on one thing … these days can be incredibly challenging!
There is a lot dividing us right now, including the actual physical distance we’re keeping from one another. We refer to the current phase we are living in as, “the new abnormal” around here. 2020 is showing us a lot, including that the “normal” that is behind us was not working … it’s up to all of us (together) to build something better.
Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, shared in her essay in The New York Times this month, “As much as we may disagree, as physically distanced as we may be, the truth is that we are more connected than ever because of all we have individually and collectively endured this year.”
Covid may be restricting our lives, but it cannot stop us from exploring new ways to make progress … to see opportunity … and to have hope.
How do we do this? We aren’t quite sure! We do know that gratitude and creativity can carry and lift us … how sleep and vitamin D can help protect our bodies … how the active practice of gratitude and being creative can protect our minds from despair.
Can you find new ways to build connection and give meaning and purpose to your days even when things feel daunting or disheartening? Can we put that challenge out to you as we do the same here?
To support you, we decided to share only positive and happy links this month (with lots of resources and solutions) in hopes that you might find something new or many things new to try … it can have a transformative effect … just you watch!
