September is a transitional month in so many ways … maybe you are going back to the office after a long while, starting a new work schedule, a new school or grade, adapting to cooler temperatures and shorter days, and if you’re like us, longing for our edible garden, local food abundance, the canopy of trees and flowing water, and all else that has been flourishing and nourishing us this summer.
The transition into fall is an ideal time to take stock of your life, and life’s work … set new intentions to do and live better (it’s really always a good time to do this!). Our wish for everyone as we transition is good health and healthy connection … peace, love, forgiveness, trust, faith, hope, light, joy, and understanding. Our successes, achievements, rewards, and earnings all are nice “haves” but are meaningless without a strong foundation of wellness and connection. When we are experiencing challenging circumstances and tough moments in our work or in everyday life, it’s easy to fixate on the future or “getting back to normal”. We might ask ourselves “what does my future look like now?” or “how will this ever end?”. One antidote to consider is to focus on the current moment and doing the “next right thing”. Take it day by day. If that is too much, take it hour by hour, and still if that feels like too much, take it minute by minute. We’re here working on doing this too.
We hope that our roundup of links helps you get ready to get “back to it” with renewed motivation and enthusiasm while feeling centered and your own best self.
