The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go! -Dr. Seuss
And amazingly enough, the more we create and write, the more we learn (and the more we realize we don’t know much at all!) … and the more places we go in terms of exploring!
THE BORDEN WORKBOOK
Determined to bring the model from our one-on-one consulting and coaching to as many as possible, we created The Borden Workbook, our guide for helping entrepreneurs organize and grow their small businesses. The Borden Workbook features 200 pages of tactical + practical advice, efficiencies, formulas and perspective to help small businesses build a strong foundation, invest their time where there is return, do marketing that matters, avoid burn out, move forward when they feel stuck, and maintain their values and ethics while being accountable to their bottom line.
SAY YES
Unusually practical and easily absorbed, SAY YES will help you press the pause button on the pace of modern-day life. This friendly book, full of colourful Wellness Intelligence, will create the conditions for you to live, move, breathe, sleep, eat, shop, and love better … on your own terms.
THE TALE OF KALE
Years ago, my daughter Joey wrote a story about my youngest son, Andy, trying kale in its various forms until finally finding one he liked – it took a LOT of trying. It’s called the Tale of Kale. We’re in the business of meaningful marketing, so we decided it made perfect sense as a Borden Communications Special Project. The Tale of Kale is the kind of marketing our kids and kale need. Whether we like it or not, our kids are constantly being sold “food products” with colourful packaging and ads on TV. We need to show them how to get excited about whole, unprocessed, healthy, and delicious foods. Enjoy this ode to trying new things.
WHAT’S THAT? A GOOD FOOD COLOURING BOOK
Did you know that an orange tree can live for over 100 years? Did you know that lettuce isn’t always green? Did you know that asparagus has over 300 different species? Did you know that eggplants are not really vegetables? Did you know that garlic is related to onions? Did you know that a coconut is not a nut? Did you know that there are over 1,000 varieties of apples? This Good Food Colouring Book will not only answer questions, but will inspire you to be more curious about what you are eating! It’s not just about improving food literacy, it’s about having fun with your food. The more connected we are, the more we care, the more we care, the better we do for ourselves and for others. The better we do, the better we all are.
GET UP
Our latest project … a book written in collaboration with Sharon Neiss Arbess. A collection of the short stories, emotional lessons, functional exercises, and mentor memos we need in order to thrive. We recommend Get Up for ages 11 and up, but we created it especially for all human beings who care to do better for themselves and others! Life may bring challenges, but the Get Up reader will quickly learn that they are not alone – that they can get through and that they will “get up.”
THE ALPHABET OF AVOIDANCE
A fun, inspiring and perspective-changing read that not only identifies what we should be avoiding in order to live healthier lives, but also includes simple solutions to immediately replace the ‘bad’ with something better…or even, nothing at all. The Alphabet of Avoidance will change your perspective. It will make you more informed. It will convince you to get rid of bad habits. It will inspire you to develop new habits. It will give you the resources to make the changes easily. It will save you time and money. And your health. It might just change the world. If you aren’t outraged, then you just aren’t paying attention.
