Orange is the colour of joy and creativity. A combination of red and yellow, orange can represent warmth, sunshine, enthusiasm, success, encouragement, health, stimulation, fun, balance, sexuality, freedom, expression, and fascination. We associate orange with stimulated appetite, improved connection with others, boosted motivation, increased oxygen supply to the brain, enhanced happiness, confidence, and understanding.
This is your opportunity to connect with the colour’s beauty, health, and diversity in our shared world … expand the foods you nourish yourself with and get out into nature … colour is an amazing guide!
The Orange Challenge:
Eat something orange.
Try a cantaloupe, papaya, butternut squash, an heirloom carrot, or persimmon. What is your favourite orange food? Can you try something new? How do orange foods make you feel? Did you know orange foods are rich in beta-carotene? Do you eat a rainbow every day?
Connect to something in nature that is orange.
A pumpkin, marigold flower, autumn leaf, sunset, carrot, or citrus … look around. When you go outside, are you conscious of all that surrounds you? Does it take you to a place of awe and wonder? What is nature gifting you today?
