Meaning and Mapping:
The Fourth Chakra is named the Heart or Anahata, meaning “unstuck”. Even though it is called the Heart Chakra, it is actually located in the centre of your chest (not located in the heart). It is your body’s energetic centre … the area where physical and spiritual energies meet.
Influences and Insights:
The Heart Chakra is the wellspring of love, warmth, compassion and joy. Anahata allows us to connect to our empathy, forgiveness, acceptance, growth, our ability to grieve and find peace, and awareness of the love that we all share.
When the Heart Chakra is open we are quick to forgive the self and others, as we feel surrounded by love. The Heart Chakra is also associated with nature and air … like love, it is within us and all around us.
Heart energy increases the care and appreciation of the self, allowing us to experience freedom and expansion, resulting in greater love for others. Love is the essence of all.
Affirmations:
I am open to self-love
I am loving of others
I am compassionate
