Can we convince you to grow your own food? If you’re anything like us, you love eating fresh organic, produce … and trust us, it tastes even better when you grow it yourself.
Not All Home Gardens Are Created Equal
A home garden is the best way to enjoy fresh and local food, save money and time otherwise spent shopping, and it encourages us to eat healthier. Plus, it’s a great way to teach kids about where their food comes from and get them excited about trying new things.
Unfortunately, even when we grow our own food, there are things we need to look out for. Many of the seeds available for purchase are genetically modified or already treated with pesticides. Also, often bags of soil from our local depot contain chemical fertilizers that leach into our food and water. Isn’t the point of growing our own food that we don’t end up with these ingredients on our plates?
Buy seeds, soils, and plants that support our health and our environment.
