Every week we feature a good human from TWIC. This week’s member highlight is Alexandra and Lindsay Lorusso … Alexandra and Lindsay are self-coined “twinpreneurs” who are tackling textile waste with their children’s clothing company, Nudnik. It might seem brilliantly simple to repurpose materials destined for the landfill into colourful clothing for kids, but their business includes innovation, education and activism … and they are both up for it. I met Lindsay originally through her husband and filmmaker, Andrew Nisker, who I had the good fortune to work with on some of his compelling films … so taking action is a big part of this extended family, which you will learn more about below. Imagine that Lindsay and Alexandra are working for negative waste and positive impact in their work and lives. I have always been impressed by their spirit, customer service, transparency, true uncompromising passion, and even their social media, all while taking the time to smile and be good humans. They even found time to answer my many questions for this interview, which I hope you enjoy … they will inspire the realization that we can all be active citizens, in all we do, even through our wardrobes.
