Not all workouts are created equal.
For the majority of you reading this post, you are training for life, not for competition. Working out might be work, but it must be safe, and it can also be fun and feel good! That is what keeps us interested and able to keep doing it!. We believe that variety is key to a balanced conditioning practice and if you are focusing on any one kind of movement/activity/exercise/sport, this can most certainly have a limiting effect on your overall performance and well-being … it can even compromise your health, functionality, and longevity. Many of the pain and chronic injuries that you experience are likely due to highly specialized movement and overuse. How about trying something new? Not a replacement for your current fitness routine, but something to add into day (without it taking time you don’t have)! Like with anything (breath, rest, eating), variety is key!
