Every week we feature a good human from TWIC. This week’s member highlight is Veronica Ciandre … she is a Wearable Medicine Maker and New Narrative Coach. Her titles are enough to pique your interest, right? It would likely be more effective to have Veronica and I tell the story about how we met during a Wellness Intelligence Break where we could be live and animated since it’s a story of how small the world is, and how it pays to have conversations. The short written story (from my lens) … I was shopping at a small holiday market in Toronto full of local vendors, and like many of you know from spending time with me, I ask a lot of questions … sometimes people don’t have answers, sometimes people roll their eyes, and sometimes, like in Veronica’s case, she was excited by the questions and gave me more answers than I could have ever hoped for! Her energy was amazing, and of course, I bought a bracelet from her to support her and to gift a piece of her wearable medicine to a friend. And that was that. Empathy Economics in play. Years later, after a yoga class on the beach in Tulum, Mexico, I recognized a woman sitting close by but couldn’t remember where from … I asked my family and friends and no one recognized her … maybe I was making it up … I decided to stop by her table and boldly say, “I feel like I know you.” I don’t remember how the reciprocal (and quick) questioning went, but I told her that I was from Toronto, and she said she was too … and right at that moment, I remembered that I bought a bracelet from her at the market. We were both amazed by the re-connection after that single collision, now in a different country. And … we then stayed connected, shared sound healings, laughs, hugs, lunches and dinners, including one with fellow TWIC members, Shirlee Williams and Andrew Flynn on the beach (another small world story), and a few other escapades. This is a really long introduction to Veronica’s interview, which is really about her, but I love context … you’ll pick up on Veronica’s intelligence and magnetic energy while reading her answers … and feeling her warmth and magic from her photos.
