Is a bowl of pasta comfort food for you too?
As a business owner, mom and wife with a full schedule, we stock a lot of noodles and jars of sauce because they make a simple (and favourite) fast-food meal. But …
Not All Pasta Is Created Equal.
A bowl of pasta can be wholesome … it can be better than conventional white or wheat pasta (even whole wheat) that can weigh us down, bloat us up, and offers little to no nutritional value. The good news is that there are so many better choices. Pasta made with nourishing ingredients (by great humans and responsible companies).
Try whole Kind Food pasta.
Have you tried pasta that is wheat-free and gluten-free? A noodle that is loaded with the good stuff our bodies need and crave, and makes your family very happy is a win! There are many delicious options available… vegetable noodles, bean noodles, kelp noodles … try exploring them all.
We are adding recipes in The Kind Food Studio on an ongoing basis to give you more meal inspiration, so feel free to join us there.
Did you know that even organic wheat is often sprayed with Glyphosate once harvested? Who thought that was a good idea? Even though “organic” certification doesn’t guarantee it’s good for you, it’s absolutely better. For example, when choosing a chickpea-based pasta that is high in fibre and protein, keep in mind of what else is coming to you in that package! By only choosing organic you are helping to: eliminate soil and water contamination, preserve local wildlife, including honeybees, and conserve biodiversity. Choosing organic also means keeping artificial food additives, irradiation, GMOs, synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or fertilizers out of your body.
