Every week we feature a good human from TWIC. This week’s member highlight is Katherine Yaphe … Katherine is a Canadian living in New York who believes in taking small steps to create big change and wears many hats including but not limited to designer, entrepreneur, and mother. In addition to running her own sustainable textile brand, called Oliver Yaphe, she has now partnered with a friend to launch a direct-to-consumer food brand called beanstory. Her work in textiles and sourcing consciously led her down a path where she started thinking more holistically about many aspects of life … and food is naturally such a big part of that story. I know Katherine because she is one of my friend and TWIC member, Margot Perlmutter‘s two super sisters. The relationship Margot, Ali and Katherine share is special … you will see that clearly and much more heart in our interview.
