Every week we feature a good human from TWIC. This week’s member highlight is Rache Brand … Rache’s life’s work is to make food into medicine and to get companies to breakeven. How about that for a purpose-driven mission for this mother of two, currently living in Connecticut on a beautiful piece of land (you’ll see below) and working full/over-time for a California-based company? Her husband, Kurtis Brand is in charge of the “calm” for their family, as you will learn a bit about in this interview (and in his own feature to come! :). I met Rache originally through our mutual client and active TWIC member, Colleen Kavanagh, and am grateful for the connection to both of these resilient, wise women who believe in a better world. I love how Rache takes what a founder might be doing “wrong” and invests time AND money in innovative tech-driven solutions that ensure a better future. Her solutions are often backed by science and are data-based, but originate through design and creative, out-of-the-box thinking. She doesn’t just invest money but supports founders by taking an active role in their success. Plus, she gives great hugs and is fun to hike with … AND makes a mean falafel ball.
