This is an {un}blog, and not really a blog (because I never really do anything completely conventionally), but I certainly do have a lot to say and share (for those of you who know me, you did not need me to spell this out). I’m SO fortunate to be able to connect with people, products, and ideas that I find incredibly inspiring every day, and I hope to use this virtual space to give you an inside look into what’s going on in my (crazy) world…which, I share with you.

Along with my small but mighty team, we will be posting content under 3 main departments, and encourage you to share with us as well. In my 19th year in business (I’m not that old, really), I realize even more, that as I’ve grown in this great big world of ours, with clients around the globe, that the world actually gets smaller and smaller every day.

We all connect and collide with each other in so many different ways and places and I continue to believe that if good people, doing good things stick together that good will result! So, I thank you for being “here” for me. Your enthusiasm and support has kept me busy and you’re the reason that I remain passionate about all that I do, and that I am inspired to do more.

In honour of you, I Pledge to C. It’s all in a little vision, right?

IWM : Sven Segal

We spoke with Sven Segal (absolutely adorable, but we always fall for a guy with an accent), founder of Po-Zu, in London UK. Po-Zu is a line of biodegradable coconut footwear that is healthy for your feet, safe for the workers, and kind on the environment. Here are his thoughts on treading on coconuts instead of people, how he Po-Zu’s, and eating shoe polish.


Green- Living Amongst the Eco-Unconscious

Living among the eco-unconscious is not easy. In fact, sometimes I believe that it’s going to be the very thing that destroys me. I find this quote by Mahatma Gandhi to be something to hang on to in daily life, “First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.”

I am accused of living in my own little world, a “bubble” that most would refer to as crazy. I am often mocked for not being able to “just enjoy life.” The irony is that I have never enjoyed life more. I appreciate everything more than ever. I am now more connected to my food and all of my purchases.


IWM : Jessie Sosnicki

We spoke with Jessie Sosnicki (as we do most weeks at the market), one of the coolest certified organic vegetable farmers we know. Sosnicki‘s farming practices leave the soil, air, water, plant life, animals, and people smiling. We found out why local organics cost more than imports, what she gets asked most at the market, and who drives the tractor on this family farm.

How to be an Awesome Human Being

You’re kind of a big deal. Everything you say and do is influencing the world around you (for better or worse), so why not do your best to be your best? And the nice thing is you already have everything you need to succeed… you! After doing these 10 things (repeatedly, of course) give yourself a “woohoo,” “hooray,” and a “yippee” (while standing, clapping, and smiling in the mirror).
